Sentance fragments ans run-ons are very annoying to read, don't you agree? So, if a blog has tons of incorrect grammer why would you want to read it. To be a blogger you have to know what you'r doing in terms of grammer, to keep your audience engaged. A choppy and fragmented blog is hard to flow with and think about. I certainly would want my readers to think about the blog rather than the sentance structure. So in conclusion of that brief paragraph, make shure your blog can be read fluently.
The question is, are you prepared for the terrifying but terrific world of grammer? Why not take these quizzes to find out?
I just took them and did extreemly well for my standards. I got a 9/10 on the first quiz which was very difficult in comparison to the second one. The last question was a bit confusing due to the fact that several of the answers could potentially be correct. The second quiz is only on fragments, which made it very easy for me (plus it is kinda fun). I got a 20/20 on the second quiz but got bored quickly. If you are looking for harder more diverse test, deffinetly take the first one.
So remember, keep your blog or graphic or website, flowing and gramatically correct.
great! thanks for your insight on grammar. i agree that it is important in a blog to use proper grammar. readers can get caught up or even annoyed with constant grammatical errors. it is important to remember to complete your sentences but not go on and on and on and on... i also want to add that it is helpful to use spellcheck!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, and I absolutly agree with spellcheck. personally I am working on my own spelling so i am doing my best not to use spellcheck constantly like normal. : )
